To manage the domain names associated with your Account Panel, you can visit the "Hosting Resources" > "Domains" section from the left menu. The section displays a list of your domains, along with information about them:
Name - Shows the domain name. Clicking on it will take you to the management section for the domain, which allows you to change domain details - WHOIS data, name servers, host records, as well as renew the domain. Note that to be able to access the domain management, you might have to "claim" the domain. The "claim" verification procedure ensures that you have the right to manage this domain.
Expiry Date - If the domain name is registered with us, this column will show its expiration date. If the domain is registered at another registrar, a label "Foreign provider" will be displayed instead.
Hosted At - This column will display the username of the hosting account where the domain is hosted, as well as whether it is currently set as Main or Parked. If no data is displayed in the column, then the domain is not associated with a hosting account (standalone domain).
Purchased In - This column shows the hosting account through which the domain name was initially purchased.
Product - This column shows the type of product for this domain registration. See "Domain pricing and discounts" for more information.
Billing Management - The Client setting defines who can manage the billing of this domain. Hosted domains follow the Client setting of the hosting account they are part of. See "Account Management" -> "Client Management" section from this FAQ for more information.
Client - Shows the client entity associated with the domain name.
Buys From - Shows the store from which the hosting account owner shops.
You can order domain names through the "Order" > "Order / Transfer Domain" section.
On the order page, you need to:
Enter the domain name you want to register.
Choose the hosting account it will be attached/parked to. This step is needed for the proper calculation of the domain price, according to our partner discounts.
Set the DNS configuration option. If you choose your domain to use the DNS configuration of the main domain of the account, then any custom DNS records you have at the DNS Manager of the hosting Control Panel will be applied to the newly-registered domain too. If you uncheck this option, then the domain will be set with the server default DNS records. You can always change the DNS records of the domain name later.
Check the option to agree to our general Terms of Service, and that you understand the ICANN verification policy.
Enter the WHOIS information for the domain (registrant/administrative/technical). By default, the fields will be filled with the data of your reseller account.
Please note that you must have available parking slots on the hosting account you choose to attach the domain to.
After the domain is registered, you can view its management options (claim, domain management) at the "Hosting Resources" > "Domains" section.
Domain products
The domain registration service offered by ICDSoft is constituted under three main products:
bonus domain - this is a domain registration purchased in a package with a hosting account. Only one bonus domain per hosting account is allowed. The price of the bonus domain would depend on the hosting plan in the package, but it will be no more than the price we pay to the domain registrar.
extra domain - this is a domain registration attached to a hosting account, on top of the bonus domain. Usually, this would be a domain parked to the hosting account, and you can have more than one extra domain per hosting account.
standalone domain - this is a domain registration that is not attached to a hosting account.
Available TLDs and pricing
The list of TLDs (top level domains) offered by ICDSoft and their pricing can be found at:
https://www.icdsoft.com/en/domain-pricing-list
Domain WHOIS privacy
All .com/.net/.org/.info/.biz domain registrations come with a free domain privacy service that can be enabled through the Domain Management interface.
Volume discounts
Besides the discount for bonus domains, no other discounts are offered for domain registrations. This includes unavailability of volume discounts.
The "Hosting Resources" > "Domains" section in the Account Panel displays all domains that you own, as well as all domains that are associated with your hosting accounts. The listing allows mostly read-only actions. To be able to manage a domain name fully - change its WHOIS details, nameservers, etc. - you must be the owner of the domain, or must be authorized by the domain owner to manage it.
If you have purchased the domain through your Account Panel, then you are automatically allowed to manage the domain as its owner. In all other cases, you will have to claim the domain for management - this is a verification procedure that ensures that you are allowed to manage the domain.
According to ICANN regulations, the Registrant of a domain name is considered the domain owner. Therefore, to verify that you own the domain, or that the domain owner allows you to manage the domain, the verification procedure consists of sending a verification token to the registrant email address. Then this verification token must be used in the Claim domain section.
To claim a domain that is in your Account Panel but you cannot manage it, you need to:
Go to the "Manage ownership" section on the left -> Claim Domain.
Select the domain you would like to claim. The "Please enter a domain name" field will display all domains that are listed in your Account Panel, but are not claimed for management.
Click the button "Send verification token".
If you are the domain registrant, then check the registrant email address, and get the verification token from the message sent there. If you are not the domain registrant, get in touch with the registrant and ask them to find the message with subject "Verification token for domain.com" and provide the token to you.
Use this token in the "Please enter a token" field, and press "Claim domain".
The interface will display the domain that you are claiming, and you need to press the "Claim" button to complete the procedure.
Note that the registrant has the ability to invalidate the domain management request, via a link in the "Verification token" message.
Once the domain is successfully claimed, then all management features in the Domain Management interface will be enabled.
According to ICANN regulations, the Registrant contact of a domain should always receive a notification about the domain expiration. Details of the Expired Registration Recovery Policy (ERRP) can be found at:
http://www.icann.org/en/resources/registrars/consensus-policies/errp
To comply with this policy, we will automatically send domain expiration reminders to the Registered Name holders (the Registrant WHOIS contact) 26 days prior to the expiration, four days prior to the expiration, and in case of a non-renewal - a third notice five days after the expiration. These notices will be for the domain only, will be sent only to the Registrant contact, and this will not affect the current reminder schedule for hosting services (30/15/1 day prior, and 15 days after expiration).
For domains that are "non-resold" - e.g. domains of accounts marked as "resold own" in your Account Panel - expiration reminders will generally advise domain registrants to look for their account expiration notices, or to log in to their hosting Control Panels. For domains that are a part of "resold" hosting accounts, the expiration reminders will come from our technical support team and will advise Registered Name holders to contact their providers (you).
Our resellers have the option to stop these automatic domain renewal reminders for "resold" domains. This is done by selecting the option "I will send domain expiration reminders myself" on the "Account & Clients" > "My Account" > "Options" section of the Account Panel.
IMPORTANT:
If you stop these reminders, it will be your sole responsibility to inform Registrant contacts of the domain expiry. Also, you must keep a log/copy of all reminders sent, as in case of a complaint at ICANN by the Domain Name holder, they will have to be provided to ICANN. In case of such a complaint, we will contact you, and within three days you should provide proof that the Registered Name holder has been informed about the domain expiry. Failure to provide such proof (logs, email copies) may result in proceedings against us as a provider, and you will be responsible for damages incurred by us and the Registered Name holder.
Opting-out of these automatic domain renewal reminders for "non-resold" domains is not possible.
All prices are in USD. No setup fees. Minimum contract period for shared hosting services - 12 months. Full prepayment for the contract period. 100-day money-back guarantee. No automatic renewal. Fees for domain registrations and SSL certificates cannot be refunded in case of an early contract termination.
